Since we moved apartment just before Jack was born (literally, we moved when I was 37 weeks pregnant!) we have been loving our early morning walks when David doesn’t have to work. Now that we are out of the city we are making the absolute most of getting out and breathing in the fresh air. We literally lived one street back from the main street in our city and now we live in an apartment that has steps at the side that lead into the woods… I can’t believe it! We were so close to staying in that apartment and having Jack there but I am so glad we just bit the bullet and did it. We were so worried about moving when I was that late into my pregnancy but it actually couldn’t have been healthier for me. I only realised after moving that I was extremely anxious about living there. I had a few breakdowns in the last week or so until we decided to actually move which definitely destroyed David. Our apartment was not the nicest and certainly not the biggest. We had students living above us and a couple next door that would smoke weed literally every day. Every Friday and Saturday night the bar below our apartment would have live music which went on until the early hours of the morning. Basically everything just seemed like the furthest thing I wanted to be raising my baby in. After spending an entire lockdown in the apartment, I realised that for my mental health I needed to get out. I am so happy that I saw the ad for this apartment… it’s even in the same small town as where David’s parents live. We are so incredibly happy to be living here and I love the fact that Jack will now go to a tiny school in a village rather than in a big city and of course he will have the green fields and forest to play in!
